Full Journal pdf1999-02-08 House Journal Page 0169 HB 13 The following, which had been moved to the bottom of the calendar (page 167), was again before the House with Amendment No. 6 moved and pending: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 13(L&C) am "An Act relating to the characterization of, use of, segregation of, deposit of, interest on, and disbursement of escrow money; relating to the recording, filing, and delivery of escrow documents; relating to civil penalties for violations of certain escrow provisions by escrow settlement agents; relating to the supervision by the Department of Commerce and Economic Development of escrow settlement agents; authorizing the adoption of regulations to implement certain escrow provisions; and providing for an effective date." Amendment to Amendment No. 6 was offered by Representative Rokeberg: Change "Page 1, lines 4 - 7" to: "Page 1, lines 6 - 7" Following "Delete": Delete "relating to the supervision by the Department of Commerce and Economic Development of escrow settlement agents;" Change "Page 4, lines 2 - 10" to: "Page 4, lines 9 - 10" Beginning with "Page 4, lines 12 - 13": Delete all material. Representative Rokeberg moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment to Amendment No.6 be adopted. Objection was heard. Representative Barnes rose to a point of order stating that amendments should be written and submitted to the Chief Clerk.
